Form Studios Partners with MetaTailor at GDC 2026
Live demos, game cinematics, and a closer look at how we're bringing stories to life in Unreal Engine.
We're excited to announce that Form Studios will be at GDC 2026 in San Francisco, March 9–13, partnering with MetaTailor to showcase live game cinematics demos from their booth (#1234). If you're a game developer, studio lead, or anyone interested in how motion capture and real-time Unreal Engine pipelines are shaping the future of game cinematics, this is one you won't want to miss.
What We're Showing
Our Cinematics Director, David Stapp, will be running live demos throughout the conference, walking attendees through the creation of “Conquest” — a Battlefield-inspired fan film we produced at Form Studios to develop and demonstrate our end-to-end motion capture and game cinematics pipeline.
The demo highlights how Form Studios integrates MetaTailor into our Unreal Engine workflows, using their self-adaptive clothing technology to rapidly dress and customize characters for real-time cinematics. MetaTailor has been a valued partner and sponsor of our Virtual Production Insider YouTube series, and their tools have become a core part of how we build characters for production. Attendees will be able to watch the process live, ask questions, and even request changes on the fly — seeing firsthand how flexible and responsive a well-built pipeline can be.
To bring this demo to life on the show floor, we're setting up a 20' × 10' LED wall using AOTO RM2.3 panels — the same panels we install in studios as an authorized AOTO reseller and integrator — driven by media servers from Puget Systems, who builds the hardware behind every Form Studios location and client installation. It's the same setup we'd use on an actual production, not a stripped-down trade show demo.
If you want to see what went into making “Conquest”, check out the full short film on our Virtual Production Insider YouTube channel, or dive into the behind-the-scenes breakdown to see how we brought it all together.
Why Game Developers Should Care
Form Studios offers motion capture and game cinematics services built for studios that need high-quality results on a production timeline. We handle everything from performance capture to final rendered cinematics in Unreal Engine, and our pipeline is built to move fast without sacrificing quality.
“Conquest” was an R&D project to prove exactly that — a full game cinematics piece produced end-to-end at Form Studios, from motion capture to final render. GDC felt like the right moment to show the gaming community what we can do.
Come See Us
