Atlanta's film and entertainment industry just got a significant upgrade. Form Studios is proud to announce a new partnership with Studio Space Atlanta, installing a full virtual production suite — LED wall, cinema robot, and motion capture system — inside Stage 6 at Studio Space Atlanta West.

A Partnership Built on Shared Standards

Daniel Minchew has been building world-class studio infrastructure in Atlanta for years, and Studio Space Atlanta has earned its reputation as one of the most booked production facilities in the Southeast. From the moment we started talking seriously about this collaboration, the fit was obvious. Daniel runs operations with the same level of professionalism and attention to detail that we bring to our technology integrations. When two teams share that baseline, things move fast and the result speaks for itself.

This isn't a transactional vendor relationship — it's a long-term partnership between two companies that genuinely respect what the other has built.

The Stage

Stage 6 at Studio Space Atlanta West is a production-ready black box with 600A power distro, a 19-foot grid, completely silent HVAC, and vehicle access — all within a 25,000 square-foot West Atlanta facility. Productions have access to a 5,000 square foot mill, multiple MUA stations, green rooms, production offices, a full kitchen, client lounge, and conference room. Across the full Studio Space Atlanta footprint, that support infrastructure expands to 7 cyc walls, 14 wardrobe rooms with makeup stations, 10 talent lounges, 17 production offices, and 3 kitchens. Everything a production needs is already there before our technology enters the picture.

What's Going In

Form Studios is integrating the following into Stage 6:

LED Wall (Unilumin) — A high-resolution Unilumin LED volume for in-camera virtual production, powered by Unreal Engine. Real-time, photoreal environments display directly on set during production, eliminating the need for green screen and dramatically reducing post compositing work.

Cinema Robot — Precision camera robotics for repeatable, programmable motion that opens up creative possibilities in commercial, narrative, and game cinematic work that traditional rigs simply can't match.

Motion Capture (OptiTrack) — A professional OptiTrack mocap system for character performance capture, previsualization, and real-time animation workflows.

Who This Is For

Commercial and brand work is a natural fit — particularly in the food and beverage space, where the combination of the cinema robot and LED wall creates a precise, repeatable environment for tabletop and hero product shoots. Brands can drop their product into virtually any setting without leaving the studio, with no weather delays, no location permits, and no compositing overhead in post.

For productions that need to move across multiple environments in a single shoot day, our VAD team builds custom Unreal Engine environments to brief — and for projects that need to match a specific real-world location, we can scan and bring that space into the pipeline as well. Motion capture rounds out the offering for projects blending live action with digital characters, previsualization, or game cinematic work.
