Every Virtual Production Stage Is Not Created Equal
Choosing a virtual production stage goes beyond wall size and price. This breakdown explains the tech, the workflow, and the team that actually impact your shoot.
At Form Studios we continue to push what is possible with real time storytelling. We are excited to announce two major additions to our services. We now offer full performance motion capture and premium real time cinematics inside Unreal Engine. These tools give studios, brands, and independent developers a faster and more flexible way to create high end animated content.
Our new OptiTrack motion capture stage gives us accurate performance capture for character work, creature animation, and previsualization. The system supports both marker based and markerless workflows, which lets us match the style and movement each project needs. All of this motion data flows directly into Unreal Engine where our team handles lighting, animation, and camera work with the same discipline we bring to traditional film production.
To show what this new pipeline can do we created a short film titled Conquest. Every performance was captured in our studio and the entire piece was animated and rendered inside Unreal Engine. Conquest helped us refine our workflow and proved how far real time cinematics can go when strong performances and careful direction come together. The film will be embedded in this blog so you can see the results firsthand.
The work on Conquest helped shape our new real time Game Cinematics service. This includes trailers, story moments, stylized product worlds, commercial sequences, and hybrid shoots that combine virtual production, motion control, and real time 3D. Our team blends filmmaking and engine driven tools to create emotional and visually polished content on faster timelines with more room to iterate.
These capabilities connect directly to the wider ecosystem at Form Studios. Motion capture feeds into real time animation. Real time environments work on our virtual production stages. Cinema robotics gives us dynamic camera moves. Spatial scans bring real locations into the digital world. Our virtual art department and previsualization team helps plan every step so projects move smoothly from start to finish.
If you are creating a game, branded content, a product launch, or a fully animated world and want support with motion capture or real time cinematics we would love to help.
